Recommended Sizes
Hero Slider: 1920 x 800 pixels (JPG or PNG)
News Featured Image: 1200 x 630 pixels (JPG)
Story Featured Image: 1200 x 630 pixels (JPG)
Report Thumbnail: 300 x 400 pixels (JPG or PNG)
Collaborator Logo: 300 x 150 pixels (PNG with transparent background)
Publication Thumbnail: 300 x 400 pixels (JPG or PNG)
Image Optimization
Before Uploading
- Keep file sizes under 500KB
- Use online tools to compress:
- TinyPNG (tinypng.com)
- Squoosh (squoosh.app)
When Uploading
- Always add Alt Text (descriptive text for accessibility)
- Add a Caption if you want text under the image
Uploading an Image
1. Go to "Media" then "Library"
2. Click "Add New"
3. Drag and drop or select your image
4. Fill in the fields:
- Title: Image name
- Alt Text: Describe the image (required for accessibility)
- Caption: Optional, appears below image
5. Click "Save"
Finding Image URLs
To get the URL of an image for linking:
1. Go to "Media" then "Library"
2. Click on the image
3. Copy the "File URL" from the right sidebar
